Breaking News!!!

Veteran actress Pilar Pilapil, 50, is in critical condition after she was stabbed by suspected carjackers Thursday night in Barangay Barangka, Marikina City.

News on PhilStar.com this morning stated that Pilar Pilapil was onboard a vehicle with a female companion, who owns the car, when alleged carjackers commandered the car and brought them to Antipolo.

The report also quoted a tweet from actress/tv host Ruffa Gutierrez that Pilapil was stabbed more than 10 times.

The wounded veteran actress was brought to The Medical City in Ortigas, Pasig.

ABS-CBN News (abs-cbnNews.com) meanwhile has reported that Pilar Pilapil and her companion were inside the parked car at the Riverbanks Center in Makati City when 2 alleged carjackers commandeered the vehicle and dumped them to Piedna Blanca, Brgy. San Luis in Antipolo City.

Ruffa Gutierrez later tweeted that Ms. Pilapil is now recovering. "Spoke to Tita Pilar Pilapil. She's alive & recovering...Praise GOD! @annabellerama2 is now at her hospital bedside. Let's pray for her."

Crowned Binibining Pilipinas-Universe 1967, Ms. Pilar Pilapil has successfully turned into an award-winning, well-respected actress in the industry.

She's also considered among the most effective kontravidas we have.

In 2010, she starred in the hit ABS-CBN fantaserye "Agua Bendita" as Agua and Bendita's Lola (Wowa).

Her wicked role in Agua Bendita has earned her to be part of FemaleNetwork.com's list of "20 Women We Love To Hate" from TV and movies.

Let's all pray that Ms. Pilar Pilapil will get through with this.

This news really scares me a lot.

I think it's about time to bring back the DEATH PENALTY coz it's now so easy for people to do such thing. What do you think?
