Paul The Octopus now a "Football Superstar" | Germans want him fried

After the Spaniards succeeded against Germans in last night's FIFA World Cup 2010 semi-finals, Paul The Psychic Octopus who predicted Spain to win over his home country Germany is now facing threats from some angry German fans.

Kawawa naman!

During the match last night, some German fans chanted a song against Paul the Octopus out of their disappointment that he chose Spain over Germany.

And their anger got even worse when Spain indeed won, with the score 1-0, causing Germany to lose a chance of reaching this year's World Cup championship.

Now some of them wants Paul to be fried and turn into a "calamares".

Wow, that's delicious!

On Facebook, there's a lot of pages hating Paul and want to eat him.

We can't blame them to feel that way, but can't they just be proud of Paul The Octopus?

With his 100% accuracy, Paul is now being regarded as a "Football Superstar" even if he's not a football player.

It's amazing that he was able to score 6 out of 6 and now his next job is to predict who between Germany and Uruguay will occupy the 3rd place as they face each other on Saturday, July 10.

Will Paul's owner/caretaker allow him to predict again after all those threats?

Let's also recognize Singapore's Mani The Parakeet for also predicting correctly the outcome of the match between Spain and Germany. He may have picked the wrong one between Uruguay and Netherlands, but Mani was actually the first to predict that Spain will win over Germany.

2010 Summer Youth Olympics in Singapore

The 2010 Summer Youth Olympics will be held from August 14 to 26 in Singapore.

It's the first ever Youth Olympics and it's patterned after the usual
Olympics, but the difference is, it's participated only by teens aging 14 to 18.

Various countries around the world will participate in the Summer Youth Olympics 2010 in Singapore and that includes the Philippines, which will have 8 official delegates in the said event.

One of them is Jeron Alvin Teng (photo above), who will compete in the
basketball event. Jeron is the son of former PBA player Alvin Teng and
brother of FEU's UST's Jeric Teng, the UAAP Season 72 Rookie of the Year. He's hot and cute noh?

Other delegates under Team Philippines include Cris Michael Tolomia, Bobby Ray Parks Jr and Michael Anthony Pate also for Basketball, Jessie Khing Lacuña and Jasmin Alkhaldi for Swimming, Patricia Llena for Weightlifting and Leigh Anne Nuguid for Taekwondo.

Appointed ambassadors of the 2010 Youth Olympics are American swimmer Michael Phelps (14-time Olympic gold medalist), Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt (3-time Olympic gold medalist) and Russian pole vaulter Yelena Isinbayeva (2-time gold medalist).

Kantar & AGB People Ratings: GMA's "Basahang Ginto" wins high ratings

The Philippine TV Ratings battle gets more exciting as both Kantar Media (formerly TNS) Nationwide Ratings and AGB Nielsen People Ratings in Mega Manila are quite similar now.

Not with the numbers of course, but as to which programs are winning in their respective timeslots both in nationwide and Mega Manila.

Ratings results last July 5 and 6, 2010 show that six programs are winners in both Kantar Nationwide and AGB Mega Manila.

3 of them are from ABS-CBN and they are Showtime, Agua Bendita and Magkaribal, while the other 3 are GMA shows: Basahang Ginto, Wipeout and Hole in the Wall.

Those 6 shows were able to beat their rival programs in their
timeslot, may it be in Mega Manila or Nationwide.

GMA's Basahang Ginto, which stars Carla Abellana and Geoff Eigenmann, is showing signs of owning the daytime block. It
even topped the ranking for the daytime ratings last Monday.

Hole in the Wall, also from GMA 7, had a successful pilot last Monday and it continued until Tuesday.

ABS-CBN meanwhile boasts of having unbeatable programs like Showtime and Agua Bendita.

Lindsay Lohan's Twitter Page back to normal after the court drama

After the heartbreaking court drama, Lindsay Lohan is back on her Twitter Page as if nothing happened.

It's morning now in the US, but the night before, Lindsay managed to drop by on her Twitter an hour after the life-changing 90-day jail
sentence she got in court.

Lindsay even invited some of her friends on Twitter to come over to her apartment. So probably, she invited them not for a party, but because she needed company to be with her in this saddest moment in
her life.

Lindsay also thanked her good friend Kim Kardashian, who earlier posted a tweet of love and support for her.

"Thank you so much @KimKardashian - thanks for being such a good friend, it means a lot to me," Lindsay's tweet said.

On July 20, she will surrender herself in jail to start her sentence, so maybe for now, she's already making the most out of the 2 weeks remaining for her.

Of course, with them are host Richard Gutierrez and the surprise celebrity castaways.

The castaways' identities are top secret for now, but someone has already confirmed to me that Starstruck 5 Avenger Ian Batherson is
among them.

Ian has long been rumored as one of the castaways, but the informant told me he's 100% sure.

While the rest are sexy stars, TV hosts, models, singers, comedians and some other celebrities.

Toni - Robin movie cancelled? Who and what caused it?

Toni Gonzaga has hinted of a possible cancellation of her dream movie with Robin Padilla on TV Patrol last night.

Toni didn't mention the reason but a lot of rumors are already coming out as to why it's most likely to be cancelled.

Rumor #1: ABS-CBN and Star Cinema are building up Robin-Mariel Rodriguez tandem instead, both on TV and in movies.

Rumor #2: Robin and Toni will do a TV show first before the movie.

Rumor #3: Robin is set to host a noontime show and will cause conflict in schedule.

Rumor #4: Problem in the production. Bb. Joyce Bernal has lost
interest in directing the movie.

Rumor #5: Misunderstanding between Toni and Robin because the former didn't agree to have kissing/love scenes with the latter.

Now, which rumor would you like to believe?

Fans of Toni reportedly will do anything possible so that the movie
will push through.

Toni for sure will speak more about it on The Buzz, where she will be replacing Kris Aquino starting this Sunday.

Pulpo Paul (Octopus) predicts España to win over Alemania

Mani The Parrot was proved wrong yesterday for predicting a Uruguay
victory against Holland, when actual results were 3-2 in favor of Holland.

It was a good fight though and Uruguay also played great. Probably, the Dutch team, pressured to win, doubled their efforts to disprove the bird's prediction.

For the record, Mani has 4 correct picks out of 5 and for today's match (España vs Alemania), it predicted a Spanish victory.

Just like Germany's very own Pulpo Paul or Paul the Octopus, who also
picked Spain over his home country.

The prediction was revealed live in Germany yesterday and the German
fans were reportedly disappointed to hear it.

Unlike Mani, Pulpo Paul has been predicting Germany's matches only. If
Mani uses cards, the 2-year-old octopus picks between 2 containers or boxes containing food.

And for World Cup 2010, Pulpo Paul is so far 100% accurate on all of its predictions for Germany.

In Euro Cup 2008 though, Pulpo Paul was only 80% correct when it predicted Germany to win Spain in the finals. It turned out the other way around.

For today's World Cup 2010 semifinal match, both Mani The Parakeet and Paul the Octopus predicted España (Spain) to win over Alemania
(Germany). Both might be right or could also end up wrong.

90-day jail sentence for Lindsay Lohan | She's going to jail on July 20!

Lindsay Lohan has been given a 90-day jail sentence by the court in California on Tuesday, July 6, 2010.

As seen in the picture, Lindsay broke down and cried upon hearing the sentence. (And it was the best acting performance of her life!)

Lindsay was sentenced to spend 90 days in jail starting on July 20, for violating the rules or terms of the probation in relation to her DUI and drug cases in 2007.


After serving the jail sentence, Lindsay will also submit herself for a 90-day rehab program.


It will now be the 2nd time that Lohan will be in jail. In August 2007, she was jailed for 84 minutes still in connection to the alcohol abuse case that year.


Wawa naman si Lindsay, but some say it's for her own good.

Spain will be the FIFA World Cup 2010 Champion, says Mani The Parakeet

Yesterday, I blogged about Mani, Singapore's 13-year-old parakeet (a specie of parrot), who's now fast-becoming famous because his predictions for the World Cup 2010 quarterfinals last week turned out 100% correct. And there we've known that Mani The Parakeet has already predicted that Uruguay and Spain will win their respective match in the semis, which will be held July 6 and 7 in South Africa.

According to the bird, we will see Uruguay and Spain in the finals happening on July 11.

Just today, Singapore's The New Paper has published a new article about Mani and he already made his prediction as to who between Spain and Uruguay will emerge as champion of FIFA World Cup 2010. And as what you can see in the photo, Mani The Parakeet has picked Spain over Uruguay.

I feel so much excited if these predictions are gonna happen later.

"Cinco" Movie Posters | 5 Episodes in 1

"Cinco" is the first ever Philippine movie with five different 20-minute stories or episodes in it.

It's produced by Star Cinema and it stars some of today's hottest Kapamilya.

Episode 1 is entitled "Braso" and features Gigger Boys members Robi Domingo, AJ Perez and Sam Concepcion (as fraternity recruits) with a strong support from Baron Geisler and Kristel Moreno. It's directed by Frasco Mortiz. It seems like the three are shirtless most of the time in the film as seen in the trailer and on the poster.

Jodi Sta. Maria-Lacson topbills Episode 2: Paa, directed by Enrico Santos. Also in cast are Barbie Sabino (young Bea Alonzo in "Magkaribal") and Joy Viado.

Box-office director Cathy Garcia-Molina directs the episode entitled "Puso" which is about "gayuma". Pokwang and Zanjoe Marudo lead the cast. And since Pokwang is part of it, expect some lil funny scenes in it. Also stars Bangs Garcia and Maloue De Guzman.

Rayver Cruz and Maja Salvador pair up anew in the 4th Episode called "Mata" directed by Ato Bautista. Can we call them the "Horror Prince and Princess"? The two starred together in horror/fantasy/thriller programs like "Spirits" and "Nginiiig". Last year, they both starred in the MMFF entry "Shake, Rattle & Roll XI" but in separate episodes.

Mariel Rodriguez is goin' solo (no leading man) in "Mukha", Cinco's 4th episode helmed by Nick Olanka. Supporting cast includes Jayson Gainza, Ketchup Eusebio, Arnold Reyes and Nanding Josef.

"Cinco" will be shown nationwide on July 14, 2010 with a grand premiere night on the 13th at SM Megamall Cinema 10.

Mani, the Parakeet (Parrot), predicts Uruguay vs Spain in World Cup 2010 Finals

Singapore's Mani, the Parakeet or the Parrot is now world famous for correctly predicting the 4 semi-finalists in the FIFA World Cup 2010.

Last week, Mani, with the help of its caretaker (who is a fortune-teller) using cards, correctly predicted that Uruguay, Netherlands, Spain and Germany will advance to the World Cup 2010 semifinals.

The predictions were reported on The New Paper, Singapore's leading newspaper.

And it did happen.

Now, as the semifinals begin tomorrow, Mani the Parrot has made another predictions that Uruguay will win over Netherlands and Spain will beat Germany.

America's Got Talent (AGT) contestant Luigi Seno considers Bugoy Drilon as one of his musical inspirations.

Yes, you've heard it right. And I can imagine how Bugoy will react when he learns about it. He's gonna scream with joy!

Luigi, who's a Filipino immigrant in the US, wowed the judges and viewers of America's Got Talent last week with his audition performance when he played the guitar and sang Maroon 5's "Sunday
Morning".

He has now advanced to the semis of the said American talent show.

Originally from Mandaue City in Cebu, Philippines, Luigi with his parents migrated in the US when he was 12 years old. He just turned 21 last month.

mother, who prefers to have her identity kept confidential, my son will be under my exclusive guardianship. No further information will be provided on the subject and I request everyone to fully respect my

Baidu.com ordered to pay "Hai Yun Nu" over photo scandal

A Chinese search engine (Baidu.com) has been asked by the court in China to pay 22,000 yuan or $3,240 to a woman just because of a net photo scandal, according to Shanghai Daily.

A girl who is nicknamed as "Hai Yun Nu" (maritime girl in English) sued Baidu in October last year because of the site's failure to delete her photos.

When in fact, Baidu is just a search engine and not actually the site responsible for the upload.

The photos were uploaded on the net by Hai Yun Nu's ex-boyfriend in May 2009 and the girl's camp actually just wanted Baidu to delete her photos on the search results.

But Baidu failed to do it. According to site, they deleted them but their users kept uploading it until it become uncontrollable.

Hai Yun Nu may have suffered shame over the naked photos, but in the end, she's still one lucky girl after all.
