Angelika dela Cruz's brother Edward dies

Angelika dela Cruz's younger brother Edward has died
after he met a vehicular accident at NLEX early this morning.

Initial report by Inquirer.net says that Edward's car and another car
were hit from the rear by a truck at somewhere in San Simon, Pampanga.

But Pep.ph has a different version. It reported that Edward was the
one who was hit by the truck and not his car when he got off to check
the tires of his car.

Edward Pert Egger Dela Cruz was 28 years old and was a newly-elected Councilor in Malabon City. He ran under the Liberal Party and won the position when he got the 3rd highest votes among the candidates for Councilor in the city's District 2.

On his Facebook profile, he described himself as simple, tenderhearted and sympathetic to an unusual degree. He also considered himself as extremely romantic and often "in love with love".

Once a contract artist of Star Records with his band "Freshmen", Edward loved to play the guitar and compose songs.

The grand finale performance night is on Saturday, June 12 while the final results night happens Sunday, June 13.

Sandra Bullock and Scarlett Johansson MTV Kiss

Sandra Bullock and Scarlett Johansson surprised everyone when they kissed on the lips at the MTV Movie Awards 2010 held earlier.

But they're not the Best Kiss winners 'coz it was won again by Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson for The Twilight Saga: New Moon.

The Sandra Bullock - Scarlett Johansson Kiss happened when the latter presented the MTV Generation Award to Bullock.

At the Critics' Choice Awards, Bullock also kissed Meryll Streep on the lips.

Sandra, who won as Oscar Best Actress for The Blind Side, unfortunately lost the MTV Best Female Performance to Kristen Stewart.

"The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" Sneak Peek at the MTV Movie Awards 2010

A sneak peek of "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" was shown at the MTV Movie Awards 2010 held Sunday night, June 6th.

We already saw a 10-second teaser clip of Twilight: Eclipse and the MTV Movie Awards 2010 Sneak Peek showed us more than a minute of the movie.

Eclipse stars themselves, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, were there to present the said sneak peak.

The preceding installment of Twilight (New Moon), which also had a sneak peek during the 2009 MTV Awards, won 4 awards this 2010: Best Movie, Best Kiss, Best Male Performance for Pattinson and Best Female Performance for Stewart.

Last year, the 1st Twilight movie won 5: Best Movie, Best Kiss, Best Female Performance, Breakthrough Male Performance and Best Fight.

Rob had an extra special award when he won as Global Superstar, beating co-stars Kristen and Taylor.

Big 6 on the Big Night of PBB Teen Clash 2010

A big revelation was made tonight on PBB Teen Clash 2010: There will be a "Big 6" on the Big Night. Do we have to be happy?

It's actually great to hear that for the first time in PBB history, there will be 6 housemates on the Big Night.

And it's also great that the teenternationals and the Pinoy housemates will now have 3 slots each, meaning equal chances for both sides. But for the teenter fans, it's unfair as it could also mean that there will only be 50% chance for a teenternational to be a big winner. And there's also a big possibility that the Big Winner will still be a Pinoy, so as to avoid objections.

Currently in-house are 4 Pinoys and 5 Teenters. It has also become unfair that 2 from the Teenters will still have to leave while only 1 from Pinoys has to go.

The voting for the latest set of nominees continues until Wednesday and 1 among Tricia, Devon, Jenny and Bret will be evicted.

It was also announced by Big Brother that if one between Tricia and Devon will be evicted, the 3 remaining Pinoy housemates will be automatically be included in the Big 6. And a new voting will begin for the 5 teenters to determine the Top 3 from them who will join the Big Night.

But if Bret or Jenny leaves, the voting will run for all 8 housemates and the 6 (3 Pinoy, 3 Teenternat'l) who will get the highest votes are this edition's Big 6.


Who do you think will be the Big 6? My forecast: Bret Jackson, James Reid, Ryan Bang, Fretzie Bercede, Ivan Dorschner and Tricia Santos. I feel sad for Jenny Kim. She's been doin' great in the house but there are only 3 available slots for the teenters.

Baguio Metamorphosis, Ingrid Payaket complete Grand Finalists of Pilipinas Got Talent

The list of 12 grand finalists Pilipinas Got Talent is now complete with two acts from Baguio City have just joined the list awhile ago durin the 6th and last semi-final round.

I said last night that only one between Baguio Metamorphosis, a group of show dancers, and Ingrid Payaket, a 22-year-old broadway/classical singer, will advance to the finals. But I was wrong, as both of them made it to the grand finals.

Baguio Metamorphosis got the public vote with 28.78%. (It's the 3rd highest percentage ever in all 6 semifinals, the 1st was Jovit Baldivino's 80% and Ezra Band's 33.08%.)

The judges' vote for the last slot to the finals went to Ingrid Payaket, also from Baguio City, who was 3rd in the viewers' votes (17.97%). She was lucky that she was pitted against Imusicapella Chamber Choir who also performed again for the judges (they placed 2nd in public votes, with a high 26.32%). Had it been Carl Malone Montecido, the 11-year-old blind singer, was among the Top 3 tonight, the judges would have chosen Carl.

Notice the difference between Payaket's percentage and that of Imusicapella. That was a big difference, meaning thousands of votes wasted! But the former actually performed better than the latter.

Carl, who's representing Bacolod, only finished 4th with 15.94% preventing the Visayas to have 2 entries in the finals. Hello World from Davao had 8.43% while Cebu's Josephine Aton, a 32-year-old singer, got the least number of votes with only 2.56%.

Have you noticed? All acts from Cebu didn't advance to the finals (Aton, Goldies & Goodies, Jzan Tero). That's unusual. (Unlike in PBB where most Cebuano housemates ended up in the Big Night: Keanna Reeves, Kim Chiu, Nicole Uysiuseng, Paul Jake Castillo and soon Fretzie Bercede.)

With that, Luzon is over-represented in PGT Grand Finals. 9 of the 12 grand finalists are fromLuzon, 2 from Mindanao and only 1 from the Visayas. They will all compete against each other on Saturday, June 12, at the Araneta Coliseum.

The 19th MTV Movie Awards is happening Sunday night, June 6, 2010, in Los Angeles, California.

And everyone's so excited with the winners, most especially the fans of the movies "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" and "Avatar" which both have 5 nominations each.

Both are nominated in the Best Movie category, and either of the two could end up as winner. But "Hangover" which actually has the most nods with 6 is a big threat and might take the award. Or it could possibly be "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince".

But I'm more than excited with who will win this year's Best Kiss Award. Last year, "Twilight" stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson won Best Kiss and this 2010, they're nominated again in the same category for "New Moon". Will they win for the 2nd consecutive year?

I think I would love to see Zoe Saldana and Worthington of "Avatar" get the award. And I also hope they would be in their characters (see picture) when they accept it.

Jennifer Scherman, Miss World Cup 2010

Jennifer Scherman from Argentina (center) was crowned Miss World Cup 2010 or Miss WM (Welt Meisterschaft) held Friday, June 4, in Rust, Germany.


17-year-old student Jennifer is actually half-German. She was born in Germany to an Argentine father and a German mom.


32 candidates competed in Miss World Cup 2010 pageant, which was patterned from the FIFA World Cup.


The candidates representing the 32 teams in the FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa were divided into 8 groups of 4 and only 2 from each group advanced to the semis. They also had football activities and during the finals, they paraded in their national team jersey costumes, evening gowns, casual wear and swimsuit.


Miss Argentina despite being the youngest was crowned the over-all winner and received 5,000 Euro and a special trip to Egypt. Miss Greece Katerina Giannoglou, 28 years old, was 1st Runner Up and Miss Netherlands Avalon-Chanel Weijzig, 20, was 2nd Runner Up.


Avalon-Chanel, if you still remember her, competed in the Miss Universe and Miss World pageants last year.


Just like FIFA World Cup, previous Miss World Cup pageant was also held 4 years ago with Togo, Spain and Ecuador as winners.

Pilipinas Got Talent: 6th & last semi-final

The last batch of semi-finalists have performed tonight on Pilipinas
Got Talent and who will be the two grand finalists among them?

Two acts from Baguio City were both outstanding, the Baguio
Metamorphosis and Ingrid Payaket. But I think only one of them will
make it to the finals.

The best performance of the night actually came from 11-year-old blind
singer Carl Malone Montecido from Bacolod City and definitely, he
deserves to be in the finals.

Carl SHOULD be in Araneta Coliseum on June 12 so that Visayas will
have two reps in the grand finals. For now, there are already 7
contenders from Luzon, 1 from Visayas and 2 from Mindanao.

Shrek glasses pulled out from McDonald's stores

Shrek designed glasses have been pulled out yesterday at McDonald's
store outlets due to cadmium content.

And good thing we don't have those Shrek Glasses here in the Philippines 'coz those were made only for McDo outlets in the US.

12 million pieces of Shrek collectible glasses were reportedly recalled because the paints on the glass designs were found to have
cadmium, which according to reports softens bones and can cause liver or kidney problems.

But that's not the only problem of McDonald's. Reportedly, about 7
million glasses have been sold already. And now, they're appealing to those who have it to just stop using them or simply return them and ask for a refund.

The glasses were a marketing strategy for the movie "Shrek Forever
After" which opened 2 weeks ago and is drawing much in the boxoffice.
There are 4 designs for the glasses featuring the main characters of
the film: Shrek, Princess Fiona, Puss in Boots and Donkey.

Here in the Philippines, we only have Shrek toy collectibles in
McDonald's Happy Meals and a special tumbler.

There's no stopping Miley Cyrus from growing up and acting like an adult.

17-year-old Disney Star Miley Cyrus did a live "kissing scene" with a
girl while performing on Britain's Got Talent Semi-Finals Show last
Thursday.

True to the title of her song, Miley performed "Can't Be Tamed" on
stage and surprised the live audience with a lesbian kissing choreo.

A video of it is now available on Youtube.

Last month, Miley was also caught in a video doing a provocative lap dance for a film exec. In 2007, pictures of her almost kissing a girl surfaced on the net then a year later, kiss pictures of Miley and ex-boyfriend Nick Jonas leaked online. And the long list continues...

(Oh my!) Chace Crawford arrested in Plano, Texas

The cutie Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford has been arrested in Texas for marijuana possession early morning Friday.

According to reports, Chace was on board a car, which happens to be his girl friend's car, at the parking lot of Ringo's Pub, The Shops at Legacy in Plano, Texas on midnight of June 3 (early morning June 4) when police stopped by for a routine inspection.

And there he was caught in possession of under 2 oz marijuana. The girl who owns the car wasn't there when Chace got caught. (I would
like to believe Chace was just doing her a favor.)

Chace was arrested by the police and at the station, they took a
mugshot of him in an orange jumpsuit (see photo above) just like any ordinary offenders.

He is facing charges of $2,000 fine and might be sentenced to 6 months or 180 days in jail. Or probably just be put under probation.

Chace, who turns 25 this July, reportedly bailed himself out already.

Is this a good or bad promotion for his upcoming film where he plays a drug dealer?

Chace has a new movie coming up entitled "Twelve" which opens on July 2.

Tyron Perez on ABS-CBN's "Momay"

Many are surprised with Tyron Perez being a new Kapamilya, but not me, as I already saw Tyron during the Star Magic Fun Run held in March.

Tyron has also recently starred in the MMK episode "Larawan" as Gretchen Barretto's brother.

So probably his inclusion in the cast of ABS-CBN's toprating program
"Momay" has officially made Tyron a Kapamilya, after being identified
as a Kapuso for a long time.

24-year-old Tyron Perez, who's now married to a non-showbiz girl and also the ex-boyfriend of Charee Pineda, was in the 1st batch of GMA 7's "StarStruck".

He becomes the 4th StarStruck graduate who transfered to ABS-CBN 2. First was Megan Young, then Cristine Reyes (Tyron's batchmate) and Johan Santos, who recently finished 4th on PBB Double Up.

In the movies, Tyron was launched in the 2006 film "Twilight Dancers"
where he displayed quite good macho dancing skills and had a steamy hot gay kissing scene with (a not so hot) William Martinez.

He later appeared daring again in "Pipo" shown last year.

It's definitely a big career change for Tyron. If before he acted for
(gay) mature audience, in "Momay" he will be acting for a very young
audience.

In his new soap, Tyron plays the grown-up Gary, son of Glydel Mercado and Lito Pimentel. Ejay Falcon meanwhile will be the grown-up JJ, (Xyriel Manabat) Momay's brother.

For the sport fanatics out there, the Los Angeles Lakers has won the Game 1 of the NBA 2010 Finals held Thursday, June 3, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

The Lakers scored 102 points as against the Boston Celtics with 89 points.

Elmo Magalona, the 16-year-old son of the late Francis Magalona, will
make his acting debut on GMA 7's "Pilyang Kerubin".

In the said soap, Elmo will be in a love triangle with Barbie Forteza
and Joshua Dionisio.

He takes over the role originally for Jhake Vargas, who because has
issues against its director Andoy Ranay has been pulled out from the

With that, it marks the first time that a Barbie and Joshua show won't
be having Jhake. They all worked together in "Stairway to Heaven",
"Dear Friend" and "First Time".

"Pilyang Kerubin", which premieres June 7, also stars Eddie Garcia, Joel Torre, Raymart
Santiago, Lotlot De Leon, Paolo Contis, Jewel Mische, Ina Feleo (new
Kapuso) and Angelika de la Cruz, who for the first time is playing a
mother to a teenager.

Also a Party Pilipinas regular, Elmo is also set to appear in an indie
film "Mrs. Recto" with Regine Velasquez.

Angelo Pasco, forced evicted; James Reid to return inside the PBB house

Angelo Pasco from Antique has been forced evicted from PBB Teen Clash 2010 after he was rushed to the hospital yesterday and failed to come back within 24 hours.

Angelo's doctor has not permitted him to go back the house because of his condition, which the doctor considers as infectious. Apparently, Angelo wasn't given a medical clearance to be able to come back within the 24-hour deadline.


He becomes the 4th housemate this season to be given a Forced Eviction, after Maichel Fideles, Eslove Briones and Shey Bustamante. (A record!)

Angelo has managed to survive 4 evictions. And the forced eviction definitely saddens those who voted him hoping he will end up in the Big 5.


As for Australian housemate James Reid who was also admitted to the hospital hours later than Angelo, he will be back inside the house by tomorrow morning.

It was announced by Kuya earlier that James is still under observation and the doctor is yet to give him his medical clearance. It will be a big loss for PBB if in case this well-followed housemate and Big 5 potential won't be able to come back. That's why, PBB will do everything to have him back even if he's not really fully recovered.

Meanwhile, the voting for this week's nominees (Tricia Santos, Bret Jackson, Devon Seron and Jenny Kim) has already resumed tonight, but the eviction happens next week.

No one will be evicted this coming Saturday, June 5 because of Angelo's forced eviction.

Now, it's a big question why the voting had to be temporarily stopped last night. It's so confusing!

Derek Ramsay: There's no gay video scandal!

After Piolo Pascual, Sam Milby and many Kapamilya celebs, "Magkaribal" star Derek Ramsay is the latest Kapamilya star to be hit by a malicious rumor of having a gay video scandal.

But in a recent statement, Derek has strongly denied he has such video.

He was quoted saying this during a press conference as endorser for Century Tuna (where newest endorser Angel Locsin was also there) [courtesy of ABS-CBN News]:

“I have tattoos all over my body na ako lang meron. You can tell if it’s me in the video. Angelica can tell. I’m sure she doesn’t want to see the video..."

“...Somebody just asked me if I want to see the video and comment. Ayoko. Hindi ko pa napapanood. Huwag na lang. Wala talaga akong ginagawang ganoon. Kahit kamukha ko pa ‘yong nandoon, bakit ko pa titingnan?” Derek said.

So, how did the rumor start?

Two years ago, someone has made this comment on an article about Derek at Pep.ph: "Did you guys know that Derek Ramsey use to go to a Gay club in Sacramento, California called “FACES”.. It’s true.."

And since he could not support an evidence for that, it remains to be 100% rumor.

Late last year, Derek was being linked to Piolo Pascual after some people alleged that they saw a cellphone video of two guys, who look like Piolo and Derek, in man to man action. The rumor just died down naturally. And people didn't buy that rumor much because they're too tired already of linking Piolo to different hunks.

Until one gay video has been uploaded on the net just last week in a gay video uploading site and it's titled "Derek Ramsay Scandal Look A Like". Oh well, the guy, who's bent on doing something gay, may look like Angelica Panganiban's boyfriend just because he's also sporting a skinhead look.

But I strongly believe it's not Derek. Of all the hunky Pinoys, I think Derek is the last to be suspected as gay.

Al and Tipper Gore Divorce: No affair involved

The world is shocked with the announcement of Al and Tipper Gore plan
for a divorce on Tuesday.

Former US President Bill Clinton's Vice President Albert "Al" Gore Jr
and wife Mary Elizabeth "Tipper" Aitcheson-Gore have announced their
separation Tuesday, June 1st, via an email sent out to their friends
and associates. It says:

"We are announcing today that after a great deal of thought and
discussion, we have decided to separate. This is much a mutual and
mutually supportive decision that we have made together following
process of long and careful consideration."

That is absolutely shocking because they've just celebrated their 40th
wedding anniversary last May 19. A lot of people are really wondering
why they have to separate when they're old already. Al is 62 while
Tipper turns 62 in August.

So, is there an extra marital affair involved? The couple's friends
reportedly denied there is a third party in the separation.

Al and Tipper have 4 children: Karenna (36), Kristin (32, who also
divorced husband in May 2009), Sarah (31) and Albert III (27).

Al Gore is also an environment advocate and a Nobel Peace Prize winner
having actively campaigned for climate change. His docu "An
Inconvenient Truth" won for him an Oscar in 2007.

He was supposed to come to Manila, Philippines for a climate change
forum called "Face the Inconvenient Truth" but was moved to June 8,
that's 6 days from now. With a new phase in his family life, Al is
definitely facing a not so convenient truth.

PBB Teen Clash voting this week has been stopped

Just half an hour ago, PBB Teen Clash 2010 voting for this week has
been stopped. But why?

For sure, those who are actively campaigning "BBE TRICIA" on Twitter
and in some fora will be very disappointed to hear this.

However, the PBB alert being flashed on our TV screens now says
"pansamantalang pinatitigil ang botohan", which means the voting suspension is only temporary.

Does it have something to do with housemates Angelo Pasco and James Reid, who got sick and have been
rushed to the hospital? But they're not nominated, so why does the voting
has to be suspended?

And since the PBB Big Night is fast appoaching, they couldn't afford to lose many housemates this week.

If James and Angelo don't come back inside the house within 24 hours, they'll be given a forced eviction. But if they come back, the voting will resume and one among Tricia Santos, Jenny Kim and Bret Jackson will be evicted on Saturday.

Kendra Wilkinson exposed video free for download, but not worth watching

People from around the world are so much interested with the "Kendra
Exposed", a video collection of Playboy playmate and glamour model
Kendra Wilkinson.

It's being distributed by Vivid Entertainment and I have seen some
screenshots from their official website, it's definitely not worth
watching. Very ordinary and amateurish, and Kendra couldn't even match
Paris Hilton, who also had the same video a few years back.

"Kendra Exposed" is a scandal collection of Kendra with her
ex-boyfriend Justin Rye (an MMA fighter). She did the video when she
was 18.

Now turning 25 this June 12, Kendra is already a wife to football
player Hank Baskett and a mother of a 5-month-old baby boy.

In an interview with PEOPLE last week, Kendra said that the release of
"Kendra Exposed" made her upset and broke her heart but was thankful
that her husband stood by her side despite it all.

Some sites are offering free download of Kendra Wilkinson exposed
video but don't bother download it because it's just 1/8 of the whole
video and as I've said, it's not worth watching.

Even some people said that even if it's offered free, they won't grab it.
