'Kinatay' smashes competition in the 2010 ENPRESS Awards

The awarding ceremony for the 7th Golden Screen Awards or ENPRESS 2010
was held last night, May 5, and the internationally-acclaimed
'Kinatay' under Swift Productions was the big winner.


'Kinatay' won a total of 6 awards including Best Picture, Best
Director and Best Actor for my favorite Coco Martin. This is the film
that gave Brillante Mendoza his first Best Director trophy from the
Cannes Film Festival last year.


'And Panday' and 'Ded Na Si Lolo' both scored 3 awards. Here's the
full list of winners:


KINATAY (Best Drama Picture, Best Director - Brillante Mendoza, Best
Drama Actor - Coco Martin, Best Supporting Actress - Maria Isabel
Lopez, Best Editing and Best Sound)
DED NA SI LOLO (Best Comedy Picture, Best Comedy Actor - Roderick
Paulate and Best Screenplay)
ANG PANDAY (Best Production Design, Best Musical Score and Best Visual Effects)
DUKOT (Best Drama Actress - Iza Calzado and Best Original Song)
KIMMY DORA: KAMBAL SA KIYEME (Best Comedy Actress - Eugene Domingo)
MANO PO 6: A MOTHER'S STORY (Best Supporting Actor - Dennis Trillo)
ENGKWENTRO (Breakthrough Actor - Zyrus Desamparado)


Batangas Governor Vilma Santos-Recto was the recipient of this year's
Lino Brocka Lifetime Achievement Award.
