Marian's ex-bf Ervic Vijandre among finalists for Century Tuna Superbods '09

The twenty (20) official finalists for the Century Tuna Superbods '09 have been announced yesterday and one of them is Marian Rivera's ex-boyfriend Ervic Vijandre (photo).

Ervic, 23, from Taguig City, is a model and a basketball player. He was also one of Cosmo's 69 Bachelors for 2008.

Aside from Ervic, this year's line-up of challengers is as exciting as the previous years, especially with the inclusion of familiar faces such as Star Magic Batch 16 member David Nagtalon, Man of the Year Philippines 2005 Joseph Kidwell, one of Metro Mag's Smoking Hot Men of Summer Van Victor Leano and model-actor Rey Talosig, who was a member of SOP's Take 5 Boys.

Among the female finalists, most notable is Paolo Bediones' beauty queen girlfriend Abby Cruz, who is in the news right now due to a Boracay scandal along with two other beauty queens.

Abby recently joined Binibining Pilipinas 2009 but was unplaced. She already participated two years ago in Binibining Pilipinas and was 1st Runner Up. I also saw her auditioning for Miss Philippines Earth 2009.

Joining her as one of the finalists is Fil-Canadian Theresa Fenger who joined a number of beauty pageants and singing contests in Canada. Fenger was also a recording artist in Japan and was crowned Miss Global Teen Canada in 2004.

Ms. Sexy Body 2009 winner Kriska Gonido is also in the list. She was also one of the ASF Dancers in Wowowee. Mr. Wowowee Willie Revillame used to label her as "Paloma".

Cherry Ann Kubota tries her luck once more in a summer bikini competition after placing 1st Runner Up in Mossimo Bikini Summit 2007. She also graced the cover of FHM in November 2008.

Another Binibining Pilipinas contestant is among the finalists this year. Bianca Paz, who was unplaced in the 2009 Binibining Pilipinas pageant, is also the former girlfriend of actor Polo Ravales.

Most of the finalists for Century Tuna Superbods '09 are from Metro Manila. (Only three finalists are outside Metro Manila).

Beauty Queen Scandal in Boracay

Danielle, Maggie and Abby

Maggie Wilson and Danielle Castano, both Binibining Pilipinas World titleholders, reportedly involved in a catfight in Boracay also last Tuesday, the same day Andrew Wolff was arrested.

It has been reported that Danielle filed a complaint at the police station against a Boracay resident named Mary Ann Beroya for allegedly slapping her during a confrontation in a bar at Hey Jude Boracay Resort.

According to Danielle, the girl confronted her and accused her of something she didn't do. Violent scenes followed afterwards.

Maggie and Paolo Bediones' girlfriend Abby Cruz accompanied Danielle at the police station.

It's unclear though if Maggie and Abby participated in the brawling incident, but I think they're not. However, some news reports, especially the ones shown on TV, had Maggie in the headlines, leading you to think she also took part in the fight.

One isyusero posted a comment in one of my posts that Danielle allegedly beat a 14-year-old child.

It goes this way:

"Danielle Castano together with Maggie Wilson got into a fight in Boracay on April 6, 2009 in the evening. Umabot pa sa point na may tinulak si Danielle na bata, as in 14 years old. Nagalit tuloy ang nanay ng bata, ayan tuloy, nabugbog si Danielle. While Ms. Maggie was screaming her lungs off cursing the cops and letting everyone hear her conversation with a lawyer. According to reports, Danielle even cursed the child that she eventually pushed. Paano ba naman, kawawang bata, pinagtanggol lang ang kanyang ina na pinagmumura ng Danielle na 'yan."

Really?? If it's true, it's completely against Danielle's advocacy when she was a contestant in Miss World 2008. She said in one of her interviews that she wanted to fight for the rights of the children.

Andrew Wolff Boracay Scandal

Model actor Andrew Wolff has been caught up in another controversy, this time in Boracay while spending his Holy Week vacation.

According to the reports, Andrew and his friend were arrested in Boracay yesterday for allegedly grabbing a gun from Rodolfo Norbe, a security guard at the D'Mall in Boracay.

Andrew Wolff's guy friend named Oleg Galido, which I think is not a model, allegedly was the root cause of all these troubles.

Inquirer Visayas reports that the security guard had admonished Galido at around 3:00 in the morning for repeatedly shouting and calling Wolff's attention near a bar in Hey Jude Boracay Resort.

Wolff later arrived and accompanied Galido inside the Hey Jude bar but the two later came out and accosted Norbe.

Wolff allegedly grabbed Norbe's necktie, slapped it against his face and took his gun. Galido held Norbe while he was allegedly manhandled by Wolff.

Another security guard who was unarmed tried to help Norbe but they were overpowered by the taller and heavier-built Wolff and Galido.

After taking the guard's gun, Wolff and Galido went inside the kitchen of the Hey Jude bar where they stayed until the policemen arrived as security guards were about to force the two to give back the firearm.

Both Wolff and Galido were believed to be intoxicated during the incident.

They're now detained at a Boracay police station and will face robbery charges.

This is actually not Andrew's first time to figure into a controversy.

Before, he had a rift with Cesar Montano during a celebrity boxing match, was accused of ganging up on Starstruck Batch 1 member Alvin Aragon and ex-girlfriend Gwen Garci also accused him of physical abuse. Garci also made an accusation that Andrew was a drug user.

Too bad, I thought Andrew is not a "bad wolf" anymore.

Just like in his picture above, Andrew has no one to face but himself, his own worst enemy.

Victor Aliwalas, Male Hottie of the Year

Victor Aliwalas won as 'Male Hottie of the Year' at the first ever Kapuso Tag Awards handed out by GMA 7's SOP last Sunday, April 05, 2009.

Vic bested out other contenders from the Kapuso Network such as Aljur Abrenica, Paolo Avelino and Chris Kayzer.

After My Name is Kim Samsoon, we haven't heard a lot of Victor but fans need not to long for him much as he will be seen in the upcoming indie film entitled Tutok where he plays an ambitious news correspondent.

In Tutok, Victor co-stars with Emilio Garcia, Allen Dizon, Ian De Leon, Lloyd Samartino and Ms. Boots Anson-Roa.

He also just finished shooting for a music video of Lovi Poe's Dito Sa Puso.

Mossimo Bikini Summit '09

Mossimo Bikini Summit 2009 just had their preliminaries last March 28 and 30 where the finalists were chosen and will compete in one of the country's biggest bikini competition.

The finals will be held on May 16, 2009 in Boracay, one week after Century Tuna Superbods '09 Bods and Brains Challenge (also in Boracay).

First prize winners (male and female) of Mossimo Bikini Summit '09 will each receive a cash prize of P100,000 and a P50,000 worth of gift certificates from Mossimo plus a one-year membership at the Gold's Gym.

Runners-up will also take home cash, gift certificates and Gold’s Gym membership.

Mossimo Bikini Summit has been the launching pad of Carlo Maceda, Brent Javier, Jordan Herrera, AJ Dee, Gail Nicolas, John Lopez, Ron Morales, Einar Ingebrigsten, Carlos Concepcion, Zarah Aldana, Gemma Gatdula, Joyce So, Randolph Stamatelaky, Eri Neeman and Martin Jickain.

Gail Nicolas, who recently gained popularity as a Pinoy Fear Factor participante, will be hosting the finals in Boracay.

Competition gets tougher in Century Tuna Superbods '09

Today is the last day of auditions for the Century Tuna Superbods '09 and as of yesterday, over 50 candidates have already been shortlisted as semi-finalists.

Aside from the names I've noted in my earlier post, here are the other notable names competing for a slot in the finals: Star Magic Batch 16 member David Nagtalon, Mister Philippines 2008 Contestant Enzo Quitiquit, STYLE Eyecatcher Season 1 Finalist Dale Dizon, Mr. Sexy Body '09 Rein Hernandez, Cosmo Bachelor Nikolai Crisostomo and two of Metro Mag's Smoking Hot Men of Summer Van Victor Leaño and Jiro Shirakawa.

It's a tough competition indeed. And too bad, only 10 males and 10 females will be selected as finalists.

The go-see/final casting is scheduled tomorrow, April 04, 2009.

Introducing Joash Balejado

Some tabloids have labeled newbie Joash Balejado as the next bold star and the next Frontal Nudity King. They're absolutely right.

The way Joash poses in front of the camera, he definitely enjoys being bare, daring and provocative.

In his debut film Heavenly Touch, which is a story about masseurs, Joash will be baptized as a new bold actor, who is willing to go all the way, not afraid to flaunt his assets and do some M2M stuff.

Joash, I think, is following the footsteps of co-star Marco Morales, who did a lot of frontals in his first two movies Walang Kawala and Butas.

Produced by DMV Entertainment, Heavenly Touch is directed by multi-awarded director Joel Lamangan, the same person who launched Marco in Walang Kawala.
