CURRENT UPDATE: The screening has been moved sometime in 2010 because the international pageant has been postponed to a later date (June 2010).. For the meantime, you can still contact the pageant organizers thru text or e-mail and have a screening appointment with them.

Miss Chinese Philippines, Inc., in cooperation with Rotary Club of Chinatown Manila and Singapore Philippines Association, calls for the Filipino-Chinese ladies who are vibrant and talented to the Miss Chinese Philippines 2010 screening this coming Saturday, November 7, 2009, 3:00-5:00 PM, at The Peak Tower in 107 Leviste Street of Salcedo Village, Makati City.

Any single Filipino ladies with Chinese descent, ages 18-24 and who are at least 5'4" in height are qualified to join the search.

Fluency in Chinese, English or any other language is not a major requirement.

Interested applicant must provide themselves with a 2-piece swimwear of their choice to the screening.

The new Miss Chinese Philippines will succeed the outgoing titleholder Beatrix Victoria Co on December 9, 2009 at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium in Makati and will represent the Philippines at the 2010 Miss Chinese International pageant.

Formerly Miss Chinatown Manila and Miss Chinatown Philippines, the Miss Chinese Philippines pageant has produced notable beauty titlists, especially in the last 5 years.

Grace Lee King-Hei, 2003 titleholder, won as Miss Snow Vitality in the Miss Chinese International 2003 search.

Carlene Ang Aguilar, probably the most popular of them all, was 2nd Runner Up and Miss Radiant Smile in the Miss Chinese International 2004 pageant.

She was later crowned Binibining Pilipinas-World 2005 and represented the country in Miss World 2005 pageant where she was a semifinalist. In 2006, she won as Miss Internet WWW Queen.

Carlene is now a promising actress and made her movie debut in the 2008 Metro Manila Filmfest entry "Iskul Bukol" as well as in a number of TV shows, the latest of which is the Filipino remake of the Mexican telenovela "Rosalinda".

Miss Chinese Philippines 2008 Alexis Sy Go was a Top 11 Semi-Finalist at the Miss Chinese International 2008 pageant. One year later, she joined Miss Philippines Earth and was among the Top 10 semi-finalists.
