We see Richard Gutierrez every night as Zorro on GMA 7, but we don't hear that much about him lately until a serious car accident has happened to him and two others in a Cavite road early morning Friday, May 22, 2009.

According to GMA News, Richard, together with his bodyguard George Mastura and personal assistant Norman Pardo, was on his way back to Manila from a shooting when the accident happened.

Richard was the one driving his Nissin Skyline GTR Sports Car.

Investigation showed that the car hit an electric post before it came to rest down a deep ravine.

The actor and his bodyguard were injured, but already in safe condition after being rushed to a hospital in Tagaytay. Unfortunately, Richard's assistant was declared dead after the doctors attempted to revive him at the Adventist University of the Philippines Hospital.

  3. bat parang c richard yung biktima? eh kaya sya naaksidente dahil sa over speeding. kung hindi sya ganung kabils magpatakbo hindi ganun sasapitin nila. Dapat nga kasuhan pa yan ng wreckless driving resulting to homicide.

More or less tumatakbo sya 120 - 130 Kph kaya hindi na nya nacontrol yung kotse. PATANGA TANGA KASI KAYA NAKAPATAY NG TAO!
