Fans of Sarah Geronimo was happy that their idol was one of the 50 Most Powerful People in Philippine Showbiz by Yes! Magazine, but they were unhappy to know about the mag's revelation that Sarah's talent fee per movie was only 200,000.

VIVA Films, where Sarah is a contract star, has already clarified things about the alleged low talent fee of Sarah Geronimo.

In an official statement made from the camp of VIVA big boss Vic Del Rosario, it was stressed that Sarah's talent fees in the hit movies A Very Special Love and You Changed My Life were the same as her leading man in the movie, John Lloyd Cruz.

"The P200,000 and P300,000 was the only approved amount by Star Cinema, which co-produced the two monster grossers with Viva Entertainment. Viva took care of paying the rest of Sarah's talent fee that Viva thought due her. For the record, Sarah's fee is the same as that of John Lloyd Cruz, her leading man in the two movies."

Star Cinema, the co-producer of Sarah's two hit movies, released their own official statement last night pointing out that the film outfit has nothing to do with Sarah's talent fee.

Star Cinema would like to clarify the issue on the talent fee received by Sarah Geronimo for the movies, “A Very Special Love” and “You Changed My Life”.

Sarah is a Contractual Talent of Viva Films, a co-producer for the aforementioned Star Cinema projects. Her professional arrangement is similar to that of Anne Curtis for her “When Love Begins...” and “Huwag Kang Lilingon” projects. Sarah’s and Anne’s talent fees for their individual movies were upon the recommendation of Viva Films. In Sarah’s case, Star Cinema simply adhered to and implemented her contractual agreement with Viva Films.

We honor Sarah Geronimo and Viva Films’ Talent-Manager relationship. Viva takes care of her talent fees and Star Cinema has nothing to do with it.

Sarah, who is in a US Concert Tour right now, is yet to react regarding this matter.
