According to a report by Vinia Vivar of Bulgar, the pictorial already happened last month.
Here's what the news says:
For the first time ay pumayag si Jennylyn mercado mag-pose ng sexy for a men's magazine. Siya ang magiging cover girl ng January edition ng FHM bilang opening salvo ng year 2008.
In fact kahapon ay nagpictorial na ang young actress sa Makati at sinamahan siya ng kanyang manager na si Becky Aguila.
Ayon sa manager, angsexy pictorial ni Jennylyn na lalabas sa January ay hudyat ng transformation ng kanyang alaga.
A new Jennylyn will emerge. More mature, more daring and ready to face the world, say pa ni Tita Becky.
Pero hindi naman daw ibig sabihin nito ay magiging all-out na sa pagpapasexy ang kanyang alaga. Jen would be a little bit more daring pero may limitasyon pa rin.
Basta abangan na lang nila dahil ang ganda ng concept ng FHM, say pa ng manager.
Ang pagpayag daw ni Jen for a sexy pictorial ay sarili nitong desisyon at hindi niya pinilit. Baka raw kasi kung ano na namang intriga ang lumabas.

When it comes to Jen's career naman, kaming dalawa ni Jen ang naguusap and out naman si dito si Patrick.
Well ang balita namin ay matagal na pinagdiskusyunan nina Pat and Jen ang sexy pictorial na ito. Tutol na tutol daw ang young actor na mag-pose ang girlfriend nang sexy at ewan lang kung na-convince na ngayon kaya pumayag na rin si Jen.
I hope it's definitely true. That's something we should watch out for next year.
Even if Jennylyn hasn't posed yet for FHM, the magazine has consistently included her in their annual 100 sexiest list since her debut in 2004. She ranked #9 in 2004, 10th in 2005, #6 in 2006 and 8th this year.
Posing finally for FHM might earn her higher ranking next year, top spot maybe or closer to it.
