'American Gangster' topples down the 'Bee Movie'

The trend in the US Box Office, or even in other parts of the world, has changed recently this last season, proving that movies about evils, vampires and crimes tend to rule in the box office, other than family-friendly movies.

We've seen Resident Evil 3, 40 Days of Night and Saw IV as box-office champs in the previous weeks and this time around, crime drama 'American Gangster' has been favored more than the animated film 'Bee Movie'.

American Gangster stars Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe has an R Rating but still managed to have a weekend gross of $43.6M compared to the $38M of PG-rated Bee Movie. Not bad though.
